Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things  are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-mediate on these things.

The History of Proud Working Mommy

About two years ago I was on a business flight to Seattle, Washington.  I was feeling guilty about leaving my husband and small child because I had traveled a lot that month. In the midst of feeling guilty I had the realization that I needed a positive voice for mothers like myself who had to balance a career and a family.

I know I made myself feel bad enough for all the things I was not doing right, for the time away from our child , and for not focusing on my career as much as I should.  I decided to make it my mission to instead talk about the pride we should feel as women when we are supporting or helping to support our family, the benefits we are giving our children by being strong women with a career, and the contributions we make to the work force. And so it was born...Proud Working Mommy.
